2,000 people enjoy New Years Eve 2013 at Cardwell Jetty Plaza

The first event on the C150 schedule fr 2014 went off with a bang proving that cardwell really is the place to be in 2014! The C150 team of volunteers worked tirelessly throughout the night to ensure Cardwell New Years Eve 2013 will be one to remember. The celebrations took place at the newly revamped jetty plaza and amphitheatre. Spectators were entertained by local artists including the Girramay Dance troop and Mission Beach Band JuJuMoon rocked into the wee hours of the night.

A spectacular fireworks display topped the night for the young and young at heart.
"We are blown away with the support shown for our first event; we estimate that at the peak we had around 2,000 enjoying the night. This event too many months to prepare and we couldn't be happier everything went to plan. The whole night was great, watching the children having fun dancing and playing and the older young at heart dancing to the tunes of JuJuMoon. I am very proud of my team of volunteers, they have worked so hard ensuring this was a success, and the best thing is this is just the beginning, we have so much more ahead for 2014." Said Thea Ormonde C150 Coordinator.
